Namafar Center for Data Mining and Policy Research was founded in Tehran in 2019. We collect, clean and explain data on the cultural and creative industries of Iran and the world: books and publishing, film and series, video games, music, tourism, handicrafts and more.
Our users are policymakers, companies, researchers and journalists who need reliable, comparable numbers on a sector where data is scattered and often hard to reach.

Learn more →How we work
Every chart and table shows the source and year of its data.
Charts come with data tables and citation formats, and with Excel and image export for subscribers.
Our analysis explains what a number says about an industry and what it can be compared with.
Every chart shows its source, year and data table. Iranian (Solar Hijri) years run from March to March and are shown with their Gregorian span, e.g. 1404 (2025/26). English pages are machine-translated from Persian with a fixed glossary and automatic checks that every number matches the original; the Persian page is authoritative.
